NANAKO is a wholesale supplier of a variety of unheated, cold-spun 100% pure raw honey from across Spain and Portugal.
The honey does not exceed 40ºC during mechanical extraction or packaging nor is there any fine filtering or processing. This ensures that it retains all the pollen, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, phenolics, carotenoids and natural enzymes keeping all the beneficial health properties of its bioactive compounds intact and active.
All our artisan natural raw honey varieties are produced by one of the oldest family-run beekeeping businesses in Spain. Since 1944 five generations of beekeepers have been passing on a deep love of nature and the world of the bee as well as the magic of natural raw honey. This results in raw honey varieties with clearly defined flavours and aromas as well as some very unique properties.
They have contributed and influenced the raw honey industry in Spain by suggesting modifications to the production process as well as producing the first bee bread in Spain.
This remarkable, quality certified and international award-winning honey includes a very wide selection of 100% natural & organic raw honey – including heather honey (the “Rolls Royce of honey”), one of the very best honey varieties in the world. Some properties are even better than those of Manuka honey!
The health and medical benefits of raw honey are very extensive. It is antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal, a powerful antioxidant, anticancer, antiviral, a strong wound healer and antidiabetic amongst others as well as having a naturally long shelf life. While excavating Egypt’s pyramids, archaeologists have found pots of raw honey in an ancient tomb. It dated back to about 3,000 BC and is still perfectly edible today!
